Beautiful Jasper bracelet

Today I finally finished off my first piece of jewellery that I'm happy to upload to my blog! Hurrah! 

The bracelet is made with Impression Jasper rondelle beads which are graduated and wrapped with copper wire. It has two copper discs wired in to 
the wire work to break up the beads.

      

The gemstones are a beautiful blue jasper with light brown veins running through them. It measures 8 inches in total but would be easy to adjust to either smaller or larger. Very shortly there will be earrings to match this bracelet.


A few weeks ago I made a quick pair of earrings out of copper to wear one afternoon. They are made from squares cut from copper with smaller sterling silver circles soldered onto the copper and stamped with a star. They are meant to have a rustic look about them.

Screen Printing fun

Under the Portuguese sun

Hi there everyone!

I have been screen printing this weekend! I
decided to hire a silk screen printing bed
for the weekend at the Hot Bed Press in Salford.

The equipment was really well-maintained
& two days later, the final attempt was successful. I'm really pleased with the result.

I can't wait to have another go!


                              

Things are finally moving on the jewellery front

With the start of the good weather, I have been moving my equipment into the "cottage". You can see from the photo that it's now furnished and ready to use.
I have recently been on several fun art weekends oil painting, cyanotpye & van dyke printing as well as screenprinting so the jewellery has had to take a back seat.
I have been working on new designs inbetween the art courses - earrings and bracelets - and will soon be putting pictures on the blog once they are ready to view.
